Event: Illustration Competition (Art, image, child)
Organizer: Abbasi Design Studio
Judges: Sohail Saleh, Elham Sabri

Visualization, through good design, creates a better understanding and representation of the story for the reader, allowing it to be recorded and visualized more clearly and optimally in the reader’s mind. To discover talented and creative illustrators, a design competition was held on the subject of visualization.

The event took place from the 15th to the 19th of July at the Khazaneh Cultural House, titled “The Little Black Fish,” which is one of the children’s stories written by Samad Behrangi, the Tabrizi writer. The story “The Little Black Fish” was published with illustrations by Farshid Moshtaghi.

This tale is about a small fish that dares to risk everything to see the sea and embarks on a long and adventurous journey toward liberation, encountering various experiences along the way. “The Little Black Fish” was selected as a distinguished children’s book in the year 1347 (1968). Around 40 illustrators participated in this call, and the works of 23 illustrators were selected for exhibition. All the participants were graphic design students. The competition was organized by Abbasi Design Studio, under the supervision of Mr. Mahmoud Abbasi, a designer and artist, and judged by Mr. Soheil Saleh and Ms. Elham Sabri.
